1974-1976 BMW R90S PRICES  

These ads have been collected by Brent C. Schapansky and listed here for the purpose of showing condition and price for comparison shoppers.  No claim is made that these bikes actually existed, were sold, were described properly, or much of anything else.  They were "lifted" and pasted.  Then an attempt was made to delete the contact info so that a seller won't get called about a bike that was sold a year ago.  No attempt has been made to correct the format, spelling or grammar.  No claim is made that these prices are representative of anything.  

Beautifully restored Daytona Orange R90S in excellent mechanical and
cosmetic condition. This bike runs perfectly and is spotlessly clean
with no rust, dents, dings, scrape marks or fluid leaks of any kind
anywhere. The beautiful paint work has just a few hairline scratches
on the sides of the gas tank and a couple of very small chips on the
trailing edge of the fairing due to normal riding hazards. The bike
has 57,900 miles and every effort has been made to keep this bike
looking as original as possible. The only non-original items on the
bike that come to mind are: new BMW replacement mufflers, side
mirrors, solid state voltage regulator and passenger pegs; Koni shocks
(I still have the original shocks and they will be sold with the
bike); BMW heavy duty fork springs; and brand new Hepco-Becker bags
and chrome luggage mounts. All of the instruments work perfectly and
the original tools and tool pouch, tire pump and owners manual (not
original) are included. Within the last three years the following
restoration work has been completed: new Daytona Orange paint job; new
points, condenser and advance spring; new throttle cables; new heavy
duty diaphragm spring and clutch plate; new oil pump cover; new rear
main seal; new speedometer; new cylinder head gaskets; new push rod
seals; new base gaskets; new exhaust valves, guides and springs; new
piston rings; new Hepco-Becker saddle bags and chrome bag mounts; new
timing chain, tensioner spring and tensioner; new o-rings, bushings
and gaskets in steering head assembly; new fork boots and fork seals;
and new clutch cable. New Avon tires were installed last year at
54,700 miles and are still in excellent shape. The battery was
replaced in January 2003. All of the maintenance over the last three
years and all of the restoration work except for the paint job was
performed by Sierra BMW in Reno , NV . In total $12,900 has been
invested in this bike (purchase price plus restoration work) and it
shows! And I have all the receipts to prove it. Price: $8,000

An excellent example of a classic boxer. This R90S is all original
except for the rear shocks and the exhaust. Even the smoke-silver
paint is the original factory paint job. The bike has less than
42,000 miles and is in excellent mechanical condition. The fork
springs have been upgraded to progressive units, and the bike has
"Works" performance rear shocks and springs. This bike has been in a
dry, central California climate, and most recently in the dry Reno
area. Always garaged and covered and ridden carefully. No crash
damage, dings, dents or corosion. The original factory paint has no
oxidation and only a few slight surface scratches. Extra parts
include: Corbin dual saddle with passenger back-rest, original exhaust
cans, extra windscreen, crash bars on the cylinders, BMW Tank bag and
