What Folks Are Saying

Read this experience, as it may help you.

Hi Randy,
Top web pages, I'm going to use them first (with variations)on my K1100LT, the forks have always felt harsh but undersprung - stiction is my guess.
It would be good if you had one page or a download document with all the info on. That would be good for printing off and taking out to the garage.

Rod- I thought about that, but the file is so large that any other method of distribution would be too time consuming or costly. Under fair use laws you can make a single printed out copy of the article for yourself. Distribution is not allowed. Non-profit clubs can make a copy to circulate with the tool if they fabricate one. I suggest individual pages in vinyl page protectors in a 3-ring binder. -RANDY G.

Yes I did check it out. It's a very nice piece of work. I think that Randy's article will probably spur interest in using the tool.

I checked it out and found it to be totally awesome. I listened to "bits and pieces" over the years but this puts it all together.
Fantastic.

Just read the outstanding article that Randy Glass prepared on servicing forks.
My regards and thanks to you.

Yes, I did have a look at [the article], and you did not exaggerate, Duane. It is really comprehensive, the pictures are truly helpful. As I will be reassembling my bike shortly, this is the page that will lead me through the front end stuff. Also, I am in the process of making a copy of the "alignment tool" to be able to do the correct measuring.

Randy,
Thanks for writing up your fork procedure web site. I've been putting off digging into my /5 front end but you have layed out the procedure so clearly I'll have to take it apart before the spring riding season comes.
     Thanks again

I'm sure you have a barrel of replies by now, but I just took the time to check out the article, and its excellent. In all respects. The pictures and diagrams are particularly helpful.

I read it today. It is wonderful. I am just beginning the front end assembly on my never-ending resto and it really demystified the process for me.
- Regards, Gunther
[You] did a great job [on the article]. In fact, when I get my throttle cable problem sorted out and if it's not good riding weather yet, I might start going through mine.
- Jay
Thanks for all the work you did on the fork article. As soon as I can get my current problems straightened out, forks are next on the agenda. Might not be this winter, but next for sure.
Thanks again.

Hi Randy thanks for making me understand how forks work and how to make them work properly. That's a great page.

Randy, Duane, Snowbum and all,
THANKS!! If I can't get the job done after reading your treatise and Duane's then it simply isn't do-able, by me, at least. A fine job of work!

Excellent! It makes me want to call in sick and do my forks today!
Thanks;
