The BMW final drive is, by far, the most
reliable part of the drive train. It can leak, wear out the spline drive
and wear out the ring and pinion gears. Leaks are easy and splines can be
replaced, but the gears are the life of the unit. Go to

I am all out of the pile of a dozen or so
