These batteries were well known to be just about worthless.  Many riders gave up and went to Japanese batteries.  They worked.  Butler & Smith would never admit that the batteries were junk.  They always had excuses and complicated directions to properly charge them.  It was always the fault of the dealership, not the crap batteries.

If you dig a bit, you will discover a trend.  Didn’t I put that nicely?
