This is a 1931 R2, and it ran quite well. I bought this one in Europe, but I don’t remember where, when, or how much I paid for it. It was gutless, vibrated badly, and was a lot of fun.
A friend was opening a BMW repair shop in Arizona, so I loaned it to him for his grand opening. He said that it was the center of attention, maybe more than his new enterprise. He couldn’t make it and closed up the shop within a year. I don’t recall where this one went.
Notice the adjustable pillion seat with the crotch grab handle? This wasn’t as high quality as the one mentioned on the R52.
