Day 12
For the first 4 hours, I was unable to go to sleep. I was thinking about how my life turned out. It was almost as if I was talking to someone about how interesting, lucky and successful my life has been.
Around 4 AM, I fell asleep and woke up at 7:45 AM.
The room was very cold, as I had hoped it would be.
The temperature outside is 37 F and calm, so I am going for my walk. The walk was great because I wore my insulated jacket.
After the walk, I was able to take a short nap.
At noon I cooked a Beyond Burger from Costco and ate half. The other half is for tomorrow. The rest was the usual fare. I had to “taste” the vegan ice cream to make sure it wasn’t going sour😊
Since I had at least an hour before changing my last Penicillin container at 3:30 PM, I went for another walk. It was calm, clear, warm, and very pleasant.
Tomorrow I will remove it and cap off the Pic line. Kaiser is supposed to make an appointment for the Pic line to be removed.
My blood pressure is 129/71, and my temperature is low at 96.5 F.
Dinner was my vegan split pea soup, black beans, and the usual.
I have been eating vegan ice cream while watching TV. I finished the ice cream before day 13 because I didn’t want it to sour.
Tomorrow I will remove the last container of Penicillin and block the line. Until they remove the Pic line, I must infuse ten ccs of saline daily.
