This is ample evidence of quality control issues during assembly. Notice the error in how to make the fork oil measurement. Quality control was lacking in the production of this bulletin about the lack of quality control:-)
As a dealer during this time, we were constantly encountering mistakes and errors, but this was nothing new to us. From the very first /5 received in late 71, we had been fixing mistakes in our pre-delivery inspection and set-up. Most weren’t known by the factory or distributor.
