This is about the new engineering features on the R65 BMW motorcycle. The engine is narrower, cylinder sealing, single row timing chain, pushrod holes modified, lighter tappets, lighter flywheel, and carburetor information. Changes to the gearbox (transmission), driveshaft, front forks, handlebars, brakes, and wheels.
The R65 was never a very successful product. It wasn’t as reliable and required more repair and maintenance. With the shorter wheel base, it handled quickly, similiar the SWB /5.
